St John’s Hospital - Solo Urbex ABANDONED MENTAL ASYLUM
St John’s Hospital was opened in 1852 as the Lincolnshire County Lunatic Asylum.
It was open for around 130 years with its name changed over the years.

This location! I have visited the exterior a couple of times, once back in 2014 to see the Water tower before it was demolished.
This time I had more time & got to see the interior which I have wanted to see for over 10 years. Very happy to have seen some of the place before it’s fully stripped to become apartments.

Rugeley Power Station Demolition (Cooling Towers)

On the 6th of June 2021 the 4 cooling towers at the Rugeley power station were demolished via controlled explosives. they were blown up at around 11:27am. What a view and sight! Apologies for the voices & language, some electricians turned up last minute and as you can tell they're from Stoke... In the early hours on Tuesday the 26th of May the abandoned Derby Great Northern Railway building burnt through the night. I started filming at 5 am. The fire crews did a great job in putting it out.
Starlink 6 - Minutes After Launch from the UK

About 15/20 minutes after watching spaceX launch the next set of starlink satellites (7th launch) on their live stream it flew directly over the UK. The satellites had not spread out as the launch was only 20 minutes before viewing so they appear as one large bright object. Stunning, over the next few days they will spread out to form the train.

Sadly doesn’t surprise me, I’m not scared of buildings being old or decayed. It’s People that scare me, have met some sketchy folk over the years inside places
@@derelictCHEESEBURGER couldn't have said it better myself, I think it's a shame that places like this attract sketchier people because urban exploring is something I'd like to get into, but I don't think I'd want to risk running into the wrong type of person, especially being a young woman on my own

Gone I believe, the old seats were behind a fence down the road from the old site, but new development has begun & they might have vanished. Shame

I was slightly nervous as hadn’t explored somewhere like that for a while now! 😂 the time i’d been back in 2014 the security had dogs so wasn’t a fan of getting caught just incase 👀😬 Thanks :)

Yeahh it will no longer be corridors, but individual flats & also the cool arch ceilings are covered up. Just under half of the site has already been redeveloped and it looks ace tbf! Good to see somewhere not torn down. Just hoping they save the staircase and the grand hall

I know the film you mean! 😂 Have been tempted to climb it one morning, but it’s owned by the RAF which is military and as loose as the trespassing laws are in the UK I don’t want to risk it when they’re involved 👀😂😬
I get really emotional seeing these old pictures I remember walking down Cambridge st my first ever derby home game I was 6 years old il never forget it. Dont get me wrong I love pride Park obviously but the BBG had a way better atmosphere even speaking to away fans who enjoyed the atmosphere to great video mate. #RIPBBG

Such a beautiful place why don't they rescue them fir ither uses like homes and give each apartment a garden that has to be kept neat in their tenancy?
Simple answer sadly is money… they don’t want to spend the money on converting places as it costs more than just demolishing and building cheap standard housing. Hopefully in the next couple of years progress will happen, the chapel is being done now and looks lovely :)

Back in the day there was legit just the asylum & some houses, now the asylum is surrounded by housing developments and the company demolished the majority of it but then stopped, years later they asked to knock it all down and the council for once actually said no! You need to incorporate what little is left of the hospital into the scheme…. They just left it. The chapel has been converted by a new company so hopefully at least the front admin building and the greenhouse will stay. Funnily enough the admin block isn’t grade 2 listed but the greenhouse is?!? Mental 😂😂 I’ll be back one day and do a before and after, it’s crazy the difference!

Who wares water jackets on the world most thrilling water ride in the world😂 I mean It’s a water ride is amazing and you get very wet but that’s the point.
It was a cold day in Blackpool to my recollection 😂 no chance walking around for another 5 hours drenched I’d have got hypothermia 😂😂 Love the ride, can’t wait for it to re open
